Due to its location at a major port, melting pot demographics, and cosmopolitan party mix, the city is also called the birthplace of jazz. A Jazz Celebration of Women’s History Month

DSCF0172It’s become a tradition to feature some of our incredibly talented female instrumentalists and vocalists from the region for a series of concerts during March to celebrate Women’s History Month. In addition to showcasing the outstanding musicianship, we’re also putting together a program of music written by women. Why we should all jam

Jam Session 2016A few weeks ago we started a jazz jam session series leading up to a showcase concert of Bloomington’s pre-college jazz talent on April 17.¬† The sessions are every Sunday 4-6pm at Player’s Pub in Bloomington.
